What makes the GREEN MONSTER! stencil wiping rolls “better” when cleaning lead-free solder paste?

Because GREEN MONSTER! employs coarse ESD fibers, the “fabric” has a much more aggressive cleaning surface and has more voids for solder paste to be collected as opposed to the pushing and smearing you get from paper. This is analogous to the piece of white bread versus the English muffin. This aggressive cleaning surface is necessary in removing lead-free solder as it is “stickier” and more difficult to remove. GREEN MONSTER! gets this tough job done! In fact, many companies have reported that GREEN MONSTER! works well in its dry state, with no solvent! The green color keeps this product consistent with other lead-free color-coded products

Are there any other benefits?

Yes! There are many, but another important one is the fact that GREEN MONSTER! allows more vacuum to pass through its fabric. The coarse fibers make the product more porous allowing full utilization of the vacuum system. Consequently, more air can be drawn through the stencil's apertures and more solder paste as well.
